Wk3 Project: Digital Storytelling Challenge

The apps we used to collaborate were Google Drive and standard group chat through texts. We all have class together everyday so we spent most of our time speaking about what to do in person. But Google Drive came in handy because we were all on a strict schedule on our personal lives so it allowed us to access the video files needed when we were open to put them together and finish our projects away from each other.

Individual Roles:
Gener Almestica - Director, Video Editor, Lead Actor
Alexis Aho - Director of Photography, Lead Writer
Ajay Bahtt - Audio Producer, Actor

Overall I think we did a pretty good job! We worked together well and came together pretty quickly to get the filming done. Once we figured out the brand and type of video we wanted to make, we leaned towards the comedic side of advertising pretty quickly. I wrote out a few different scenarios for the videos which we all agreed on a particular style and how we wanted the video to look, but once it came to actually filming, we were sort of at a loss! We did no previous storyboarding, so I shot the video with Gener and Ajay taking on the roles of actors, and we sort of figured it out as we went along. In the end I really like what we came up with and I think it's pretty hilarious! I will say the one thing we all sort of had trouble over was the audio. Ajay came up with two really great options but I felt as though they were missing something, and somewhat took away from the comedy of the shots. In the end we were able to find something all of us liked, and we overcame the obstacle to produce something we all felt pretty good about. In the end, I wish we had a clearer plan, and I had storyboarded and had more of a vision to contribute to the group. But, we had a fun time filming and I'm happy with what we made!
